Tot School – 3/28

I wasn’t planning on doing much in the way of tot school, and honestly we haven’t done much.  Most of this week has been spent riding bikes in the garage (me with my feet up just waiting for this baby to come!!)  But I was inspired by Carisa at 1+1+1=1 (yet again) and had to replicate her new tot school printable idea with themes that Royal would love.  And of course I had to start with Nemo.  Royal could care less for the movie, but he loves Nemo.  We have 2 little Nemo stuffed animals that have become a very important part of bedtime lately!

Because my Nemo stuff is almost identical to Carisa’s idea I’m not going to share them until I’ve passed it by her.  But here’s some action shots anyway :)
I am however going to share our yellow page (and upcoming color pages!).  Royal loves to glue things down so this just seemed natural.  He spent a good 20 minutes on our yellow page this week!

Gluing down all the pictures!

Baloo helping him with the puzzles.  I added magnetic strips to the back so they would stick on the baking sheet.  It really helped a lot!

Coloring all the Nemo’s!  He did this over and over again!

And to go with it we printed out the Nemo tot pack from 1+1+1=1!

Counting!  Royal likes to count to 3 and say Blast Off!!

He really preferred to just take these cards out and put them back in…

And just because – Royal on his “new” bike.  Baloo got a new bike this week and his very old Thomas bike was handed down.  It’s still a good inch too big for Royal, but he just stands on the bar and tip toes around!

I have to start this by admitting that I am not the type to go out in the rain or to splash in puddles.  However, I put on my brave face since it rained all week and let the boys go out and splash their little tails off right before bathtime.  They were a MESS.  But it was completely worth it.

That’s it for us this week.  This baby will be induced late this week if he doesn’t come on his own so I feel safe to say that we will NOT have a tot school post next week.  However, I am working my tail off to get some of these color sheets and other tot school letter sheets done before he arrives…I might just have them ready to download soon!

Tot School – 3/14

Royal is 23 months
Big brother was sick this week which means that not a lot of tot school happened either.  However, Royal did get to participate in a few of Baloo’s art projects!
Painting on the easel.  He was very careful with his strokes.

And he would only pose while putting a cookie in front of his face.  I guess that’s what I get for letting him be the hulk!!

We got to go to a local farm/park where they had a really cool playground.  Royal hasn’t always been a fan of slides, and since it had been awhile since he’d been on one he was a bit nervous.

There mallets made music when you pushed them down.  It was pretty cool, though I think Royal would have enjoyed it a lot more if he could have reached it!

A little bit of balance practice!

Little brother (who does not yet have a nickname…) is going to be coming any day now!  We have been using this newborn life size doll to practice being gentle.  This was not one of those times.  Poor baby got a pretty rough hug and a few beats on the head.

Royal loves to pick dandelions and try to blow the seeds off.  Thankfully we have fields and fields of them around here!

Playing with the iTouch!  Both boys love playing with the iTouch.  Royal’s new favorites are the Fisher Price Learn & Play ones.  He sings and dances right along with a few of them!
