I was a big fan of FRIENDS when I was younger (well and today too. No one ever stops being a fan). So when I think of the letter V I think of Joey. For anyone not familiar, Joey is known as kind of dumb. One day an encyclopedia salesman (Penn Jillete, if memory serves me correct) comes to his door and tells him how wonderful encyclopedias are. Joey is sold and offers to buy the set, but it’s crazy expensive.
However, Penn will sell him one volume for $50 (which Joey happens to have for another reason earlier in the show). So Joey picks out V. Later, he tries to start conversations with his Friends that make him sound smart. So he references a lot of ‘V’ things. Mount Vesuvius, for example. It backfires when they start talking about current events that do not start with V. So when we started working with the letter Vv in our Dot Marker Alphabet…that’s all I could think about.
Anyway, that’s all I think about with the letter V, so working on V printables is entertaining for me. I also have a tendency to do the very vampirish “I vvvvvan to suck ur blood”. I embarass my kids.
This letter Vv set has vikings, volcanos, and of course, a vacuum. The volcano makes it one of the boy’s favorite sets, naturally.
We used dot stickers on the pages. I had some red ones which served as the lava. You cannot do volcano things without red. It’s illegal (or so I’ve been told).
So Vv is for volcano.
