31 Days of Gross Motor Challenge Week 5
Day 26: Ball Play
We happened to find a ball that had been out of our toy rotation for quite awhile and Logi-Bear really wanted to play. He and Royal (and later Logi-Bear and Baloo) kicked the ball back and forth and tried to throw it as high as they could in the air.
Day 27: Park day!
We spent the morning at the park/playground and just played!
Day 28: Grocery Shopping
I have to cheat with this one today. We spent a lot of time running errands and getting stuff done so gross motor just didn’t happen. We did spend about an hour at the grocery store walking around though – surely that counts for something?
Day 29: Stuffed Animal Toss
We decided that the closet is now the stuffed animal haven and spent quite awhile tossing them in through the doorway. The stuffed animals are very happy in their new home (and the boys love to play in the “rainforest”)
Day 30: McDonalds PlayPlace
While we try not to eat fast food too often, I do enjoy going to McDonalds PlayPlace and let the boys run around for awhile. Sometimes, especially on cold or rainy days, we just go and I’ll get a coffee and let them play. They get out that energy and I get time to sit and relax (Plus, almost all of them have free WiFi now!)
Day 31: Indoor “Ridiculousness” Course.
My husband likes to watch the show by Rob Dyrdek, Ridiculousness and therefore my boys like to watch the show Ridiculousness. (If you haven’t heard of it, think Jackass combined with Daniel Tosh minus a lot of the language and lewd behavior). So the boys got this idea to make their own Ricidulousness show and set up their bedroom in a bit of an obstacle course. They set up a bridge to run across and crawl under, things to hop over, and boxes to run into. They played (ran) for nearly an hour!
