We recently redid our calendar/circle time board. I touched a bit on it in our schoolroom post, but wanted to be more specific with what printables we use.
Starting on the left. That is a pocket chart from Target’s $1 area. They’re usually out just before school starts. I used the tutorial at A Heart for Home to make it a calendar chart and I love it. It’s just the right size! I made those printables myself and will be sharing the monthly cards!
On the main board the printables come from a few different areas. I retyped them all so they would all match. The large sheet with the bible verse on it (A sort answer turns away wrath) actually comes from the RRSP/RRSK program at 1+1+1=1. I print the verse out on cardstock and laminate it. The full size sheets are in the RRSP download. We go through and sing all the verses we’ve worked on every day.
The 5 day weather chart just below the verses comes from Homeschool Creations (about halfway down the page, titled Weekly Weather Graph).
For the songs we have:
The Good Morning Song
Days of the Week
Months of the Year
All of the song printables can be found at 1+1+1=1!
I’m so glad we’ve gone back to a calendar system that is displayed on the wall instead of the portable one. I think the portable calendar fell under the “Out of sight, out of mind” category and we had trouble remembering to do it. If i forget with this board though, the boys remind me! They love singing all the songs!
