Sensory Candy Corn Goop–Sensory Play Party
This week we made Candy Corn Sensory Goop. I’m not sure if goop is the correct technical term or not, but it felt goopy to me!
This is so easy to make and takes very little time. It does include borax – something that I’ve avoided for years. After reading a lot of articles, I’ve decided that for play like this, I’m okay with it. Still not using it in cleaning solutions that will be on our counters and touch our food though.
Recipe:
Cold Water
1 Cup Glue
1.5 tsp Borax.
In one bowl mix together 3/4 cup cold water and 1 cup glue.
In a separate bowl mix together 3.4 cup cold water and 1.5 tsp Borax.
Then mix it all together. You’ll see the goop form quickly!
Since I just wanted one batch and 3 different colors, we decided to add the colors in after. I think it would be best to mix it in with the glue in the first stage though.
I let ours sit for awhile to let the excess water out. But then…we played!
We had our Halloween Toob out too! The black cat was sinking!
Baloo was not interested. He said the goop felt weird and didn’t want to touch…
We made a few play scenes such as the witch flying to her cauldron.
But mostly we played and explored. Royal realized that if you pulled on it slowly it wouldn’t break.
We made our own goop candy corn.
Logi-Bear practiced his cutting skills with the goop – easier said than done!
