Simple Ghost Craft Painting Project for Preschoolers
Royal enjoys crafts a lot, but he really prefers to do them his way. Which means no overly complicated crafts or ideas. Which is why I may have a lot of craft ideas that I refer to as simple…And that’s okay! Kids should be allowed access to art materials to do with as they please (within reason). There is much to be learned from learning art techniques but there is just as much to learn from letting them explore on their own. So we do simple crafts like this simple ghost craft to satisfy his desires for art!.
I left this out almost as an invitation to play. No instructions, and I didn’t tell him what we were making. Just left out the pouf, the white paint, and black construction paper. He had no trouble just digging in and going for it!
We got our pouf at Target or the dollar store, somewhere inexpensive. Amazon has some decently priced ones too though.
And so he painted! He tested out different ways to paint with the poof (long stroke, short taps, etc) and painted until he was happy.
At the end I put down two dots of glue and asked him what he made. “A ghost!” And he was very happy with it.
This book would be a perfect complement to the craft!
Glow In The Dark Simple Ghost Craft Addition
We tried this again but with glow in the dark paint. It’s not nearly as vibrant as the white but it has a fun quality being that it glows in the dark. Again, just a similar layout – poof thingie, black paper, and the paint.
It’s hard to not just make a good blog in the middle. It happens naturally! Add googly eyes and bam, ghost!
Super simple ghost craft: mission accomplished!
