The Big Snow
We’ve started rowing Katy and the Big Snow this week and I wanted to start it out with a bang. I guess I was feeling daring (insert huge grin here). I didn’t tell the boys what I was doing at all so they were a bit surprised!
We started off by brainstorming what buildings we needed in our town. We came up with a grocery store, hospital, fire station, police station, post office, and our house. Then I put masking tape down for the roads and gave each boy a snow plow (I think our snowplows were McDonalds toys!) They loved just driving around on the roads and visiting the buildings!
I snuck up behind them and started dumping fake snow on them. They were thrilled! They plowed the snow for awhile.
Royal made it snow on his plow – a LOT.
All covered up!! He was so proud. (Meanwhile in the background you can see Baloo prepared for his blizzard. He collected a bunch of snow in that box and then dropped it all on us!)
Of course the snow got piled up in front of the fire station!
But the snowplow was there to take care of it (time and time again)
The boys had a blast with the fake the snow and it was actually really easy to clean up on the hardwood floor!
Now we’re going to continue with rowing Katy and the Big Snow! Leave me a link if you’ve rowed Katy, or done anything activities with Katy or snow! We still need some fun ideas!
Wow you are a cool mom letting them do that. I’m sure it was lots of fun.
