Vanentines Day Sensory Bin

Valentine's Day Sensory Bin

The boys were really excited to get a new sensory bin.  Logi-bear was particularly excited because his favorite color is red, with pink and orange coming in close second.

I saw this great idea to use Ice Cream Salt as a sensory material from Twodaloo and I knew it would be perfect for our V-Day Sensory bin.  I used food coloring and it worked well, but I think the liquid watercolors would have worked better.  I made red and pink but some are a very light pink.

Then I added in:
Spikey balls (from Walmart)
Candy Heart erasers (Also Walmart)
Heart shaped cookie cutters (the red ones are from Walmart, the pink is from a set of 100 cookie cutters on amazon)
Scoops and bowls
Gems

I was barely done taking the before photos when the boys took over.

They loved the scooping!  I had to get more scoops for them.

We have a large funnel that was big enough for the ice cream salt to go through!

Logi-Bear decided that out mailboxes should be a part of the fun too!
