Dr Seuss Inspired Sensory Bin
I found these adorable Cat in the Hat inspired erasers at the Target One Spot and knew I had to include them in a fun sensory bin. I decided to go with dyed ice cream salt as the base. The ice cream salt dyes beautifully and it’s so inviting!![]()
I also included little colored plastic shot glasses, a blue cup, and a few scoops.![]()

It was just moments before Logi-Bear was all over this bin!![]()
And of course the red and white stripes didn’t last long. That’s okay though! The presentation is just to get them to play!![]()
Isn’t the blue color just lovely??![]()
He spent a lot of time presenting his bowls of sea salt to me…![]()
We lined up the cups. I tried to get him to do some patterning but he had his own game in mind.![]()
He did work on some fine motor skills by carefully scooping the sea salt on top of the cups.![]()

What a beautiful activity! I love everything about it!
