Fact Family Booklets
Baloo and I were recently working on fact families. As we worked through them I thought it would be nice to have a simple resource that he could go back to when needed. We started making these little fact family booklets. They’re very simple easy to put together!
We’ve taken to reading a lot of books related to math. Baloo seems to do well with stories. I’ve compiled a list of a few math related books. Brian P Cleary is amazing, so of course I’ve included his addition and subtraction books!

These are awesome! Any chance you’ll be making a multiplication version? We’re just starting that, and I’m feeling lazy (Yes, I know I COULD make it, but if you already had plans to).

I feel super-silly saying this, but how do you use these? It isn’t obvious to me what the pattern is, or what the numbers at the top of each page are for. Do you have an example of a completed page? Thanks!

We make them into little booklets. I cut apart each page and staple them together for each number. Then I have my son go through them and write down the facts. So on the page that says 1, 2, 3 at the top the facts would be 1+2=3, 2+1=3, 3-1=2 and 3-2=1
Then we use them for reference while still learning fact families. Hope that helps! If not, I’ll get the visual post up soon 🙂
