Christmas Cookie Sight Word Game

I wanted to create a fun sight word game just for Christmas.  Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, I took some inspiration from the Popcorn Game.  But instead, its Christmas Cookies!

I’ve provided all the printables – including the strip to cover a can!  Or you can just use a regular cookie jar!

Here’s the set

I glued the cookie words onto foam to make them a bit thicker.  If you don’t want to spend the money on foam, you might just try folding them in half to make them easier to grab.IMG_5681

First, have your child pull a cookie out of the jar. Then ask them to read it.

I printed off two sets and left one in tact.  After they pull out a card, I had them match it to the sheet.

  2. I really love this idea. I can’t use your file ;-( because I’m portuguese so my son is learning portuguese language but I’ll make a portuguese version of it for us to use. Thank you for sharing.
