Kindergarten – D week and outdoor fun!
Baloo is 5 years 3 months
We have been having so much fun outdoors this week that we haven’t had much time for indoor school work – not that I’m complaining!
Baloo has been riding this scooter a lot more lately and I am amazed at how confident he is getting with it!
He learned how to play hopscotch!
And we drew with chalk – a LOT. He drew angry birds, pumpkins, gas stations…etc!
We decided to take our art outside and explore some nature! We collected pine cones, leaves, acorns, dead grass, and whatever else we could find! We spent a little bit of time investigating the materials…
And Baloo chose to paint pinecones!
We also bowled with the pinecones, which was more challenging than I thought it would be!
And then Baloo decided to smash the pinecones with the ball.
We did get some work done inside. Baloo found this sheet left over from our Angry Birds theme and had to do it.
We started up with our daily writing prompts again! I have a set just about ready to share 🙂
And of course we drew tons of Angry Birds with our Draw-It-Yourself sheets!
And of course we worked on our sight words of the week with unit 7 of You Can Read! Can you tell how thrilled he was to be tracing these words?
I had to share one picture of the boys in costume!! Baloo is on the left dressed at the black angry bird. It’s hard to see from the picture, but the costume was very round and fluffy. Royal is the dragon, and Logi-Bear is the little pirate in front. We had a great time trick-or-treating with some friends and ALL the kids (and parents!) were exhausted after an hour of trick-or-treating!
I hope everyone had a great Halloween!!
Love the bowling pinecones!!! So fun! I would love for you to com elink up at TGIF Linky Party http://livinglifeintentionally.blogspot.com/2011/11/tgif-linky-party-4.html
