31 Days of Simple Sensory–Week 3
We’ve had a very active and very messy couple of weeks. The weather has been off and on (although I can’t complain because its been mostly beautiful!) so we’ve spent some time indoors trying to stay sane.
Royal loved blowing these bubbles in a cup and letting them flower over.
He blew bubbles for a good hour! He figured out to pull the straw part way out and he could blow huge bubbles! Such fun!
We’ve done a good amount of baking. This is Zucchini Flaxseed bread and it was delicious! Baloo did most of the work
We did a Titanic study and made an iceberg. The boys played in the cold water for a bit!
More baking – this time with Royal. The key to baking with kids is keeping it simple. We used a boxed cookie set. He was able to add the butter, crack the egg, pour the mix, stir…
And even drop the cookies on the pan!
We did some color mixing. Just a few small cups, water, food coloring, and droppers.
And of course, playdough play! This particular day I put out a bunch of straws of differing sizes. Logi-Bear snuck a train into the mix too.
He had a great time decorating with the straws though.
And he built a tall tower, all by himself!
We had a great time these past weeks doing our sensory challenge. I’ve been noticing how much sensory input we take in all day long! Everything we do is sensory!
We hope you’ll join us in this challenge!! And if you’d like, feel free to use our button on your blog!
