Apple Skip Counting by 2s Puzzles
Aside from just repeating them over and over, skip counting isn’t easy to practice! These puzzles and a fun way to work on skip counting and dot to dot pages work as well!
Apple week is almost coming to a close. Make sure to grab all the apple freebies! And don’t forget Cassie and Deidre’s printables too!
How to Set Up the Apple Skip Counting Puzzles
The puzzles print out complete, so you’ll want to cut them out before handing them over. But that’s all the prep necessary!
These puzzles can be laminated if they’ll be used multiple times. They’ll last a lot longer that way!
We tend to use ours just once so I just print them on regular paper.
Make sure to mix up the pieces a bit so it isn’t too easy for them to solve!
How to Use the Apple Skip Counting Puzzles
The point of these puzzles is to work on skip counting, so I try to push them to look at the numbers first. Of course, they end up using the pictures too, inevitably.
The pictures can be used as a self-correcting feature. If the picture doesn’t look right they’ll know the numbers aren’t in the correct order.
So they just put them in order by the numbers on he bottom. Then they can glue the final picture down to keep forever. Or it can be saved to reuse another time.
