Interactive Math Book Subscription for Fun Math

For kids who aren’t naturally math lovers, getting them to tolerate math is generally the goal. But what if we could get our kids to love math?

You know what kids do love though? Getting mail. So what if you combined math with getting mail?

I think it would be a wild success! Especially if the program was actually fun.

Discovery Learning is Fun Math

The first win for the Discovery Learning math books was that my kids were willing to look at them! They often run away at the word ‘math’. But when I pulled these out I was pleasantly surprised at the reaction.

Royal promptly got started. And then he just didn’t stop.

My kids are not naturally inclined towards math. In fact, they’ve always been math resistant. So I was pleasantly surprised when Royal grabbed this math booklet and ran off with it. He was actually excited to see it.

In fact, the next thing I knew we were getting in the car and he had brought the math book with him. He didn’t want to put it down for a minute.

Discovery  Math is Bright and Colorful

I’m always amazed at how much a little pop of color can entice a child. These booklets provide a big pop of color on every page. Every page is colorful and eye-catching.

I discussed with Royal what he enjoyed so much about the math book and he said each page is a new game.

But when I looked over the pages, they weren’t actually games. They just looked so colorful and fun that he thought it was a game. And because they were all games, he didn’t want to stop playing!

Discovery Learning is Simple Concept Review

Each page covers a different topic (and covers it well). But the instructions for every concept are simple and easy to understand.

Royal never had to ask me for clarification or help with the pages. He knew exactly what to do.

Sometimes he was even able to add on more to the pages. On the page below, you can see where he made 4 in a row with the even and odd numbers. He announced his game loudly when he found 4 in a row.
