Penguin Painting–Virtual Book Club for Kids
It’s Virtual Book Club for Kids time again and this month the author is Marcus Pfister!
We decided to do a craft to go along with Penguin Pete. We’d already been on a bit of a penguin kick anyway!
Our local Micheals and Joanns did not have any penguin toobs so we bought 2 of the larger penguins they had. We decided to do some shaving cream painting to make the ocean. ![]()
First I had the boys spread the shaving cream with the penguins.![]()
They got really into this part! The penguins were waddling and sliding all over the place.![]()
The I placed some blue food coloring all around their papers and gave them little sticks meant for candy or cake pops. ![]()
I told them to try swirling it, but they both had other ideas in mind.![]()
Once they were done swirling I squeegeed the shaving cream off.![]()
We used some penguin 3 Part Cards to identify our penguins, and then cut the penguins out.![]()
Then we glued the penguins down!! Royal wanted an iceberg for under his penguin.![]()
