Tt is for Turkey – Tot and PreK Round Up
There have been a LOT of changes in our household recently. We finally back in our own place and not living with family (how lucky we are to have such supportive family! It’s nice to be back in our own place though). We have all of our school supplies back which has been a lot of fun. It’s amazing how much you forget you have in the matter of a few months.
Anyway, we’re very excited to be back on our school routine!! Throughout the holidays we’re going to keep it nice and easy and just enjoy ourselves. We decided to start off Thanksgiving week with Tt is for Turkey!
I’m combining all my tot and preK posts since the boys do so much together. With Logi-Bear we focus on learning the letters, whereas with Royal we are concentrating on letter sounds.
We started off our week with some fun painting. I got out these fall foam stickers and we used them as stamps. I just took off the sticky back and stuck it to their fingers.
Then they used them as stamps! Nice and easy (and fun) painting!
This was Royal’s masterpiece. It’s hard to tell, but he added the stickers as he finished painting with them.
I’m going to put together a small letter basket for Logi-Bear every week. I’ll just add a few things related to our letter of the week that he can explore on his own (hopefully while I’m working with his older brothers!)
This is a clear shot of what is in the basket.

We did this cute little turkey sorting activities. (post about these on Monday)
We used feathers (”turkey” feathers) to make a bunch of T’s. These awesome feathers were given free by the website Craftprojectideas.com.
The boys absolutely love playdough, so I went ahead and made some. I was trying to make this almond spice playdough from two-daloo, but I realized what I thought was almond extract was peppermint…whoops! The peppermint playdough was still nice!
First I had them color some popsicle sticks. I wanted to make playdough turkeys
My playdough turkey – Baloo added the red waddle.
Logi-Bear was into the idea, but he said his was just a bird. And it flew.
We got out the cookie cutters too. We cut T’s and other fun stuff.
Logi-Bear was more interested in tearing the playdough and covering his truck.
I set up this beginning sounds activity for Royal. We sounded out the words together…
And matched the letter to the shape!
Of course we worked with some of my Thanksgiving Toddler Time printables. Royal dotted the Tt’s
And stamped T’s and other symbols onto his page.
That’s most of what we did this week! We had a lot of fun with the letter T. And I am loving getting back into our routine! I feel so lost without a good routine.
Thanks so much for the printables! Can’t wait to have my little ones keep busy Thanksgiving Day!
