PreK Week of 5/23

We had the opportunity to see the shuttle launch last week and of course jumped at it!!  In order to get a good spot we were told to be at the space center early –very early.  We ended up getting there at 2:30 a.m.!!  Baloo stayed awake all morning and didn’t fall back asleep until we were driving home!  Royal fell asleep about 7:00 and woke up just in time for the launch (literally about 45 seconds before it happened!).  There ended up being a lot of cloud cover so we only got to see about 10 seconds but it was totally worth it!  Baloo remembers it clearly and still talks about the shuttle launch daily.

We spent the rest of last week in Tampa with my parents so we didn’t do much for school.
The boys painted these wooden animals from Micheals. 

And made Dr. Seuss puppets.

We went to this waterpark and Baloo had a blast running near the water.

We were home this week and had some impromptu fun.

We got out some colored paperclips.  Baloo sorted them, linked them together, and made patterns with them.

We linked together enough to measure Baloo….

And then counted to see how many paperclips tall he is!  (25!)
 

We had a great, and very relaxing, few weeks!  Next week we are (really) getting back on track starting with a Jake and the Neverland pirates theme (a new favorite since returning home from Tampa!).
