Spring Writing Prompts with Graphic Organizers

I don’t remember how old I was, but one year a teacher gave me a general rule for writing a good 5 paragraph essay.  If you say it right it has a bit of a sing-song quality to it, making it easy to remember.  Main idea, concrete detail, commentary, commentary, main idea, concrete detail, commentary, commentary, etc.  Pretty simple and standard, but this little rule got me through college English with an A.  So I just love anything that organizes writing and makes it simpler.  Writing a paper doesn’t have to be hard!  In fact, if we break it down into easy chunks it’s pretty easy!  I see no reason why kids shouldn’t use graphic organizers to organize their thoughts as young as possible.

Anyway, I’ve put up these Spring theme Writing Prompts with Graphic Organizers in my Teachers Pay Teachers shop!  Each graphic organizer is designed just for the prompt and matches the writing page.
