PreK – Zz and President’s Day
We’ve actually had a really fun week. We touched lightly on Presidents and President’s day. Baloo was very interested in learning how to become a President once we told him that Presidents get to make a lot of important decisions.
Unfortunately my external hard drive crashed on Wednesday just after I had transferred ALL of our pictures to it. So I only have half of our pictures from this week. The good news is I will be able to recover all the pictures…it’s just going to take a few days apparently!
We worked through the RRSP Zz lesson.
Doing the RRSP – Zaccheus in a tree.
For President’s Day I put coins in a jar and had Baloo guess how many coins there were. His first guess was 65, but he quickly changed it to 100 once I dumped them out and he could see how many there were. The total was 108.
Then we did some coin rubbings. He loved seeing the heads and tails appear almost magically. ![]()
I wrote “If I were President…” on a piece of paper and had him tell me what he would do if he were the President. (He said he would turn everyone blue) Then I told him to draw a picture to go with it. He ended up drawing our entire family…in blue. ![]()
And of course we’ve spent a lot of time outside. He worked on some balancing skills…

And used magnifying glasses to investigate a huge ant pile… ![]()
Now we’re gearing up for next week – Dr. Seuss week!!
